6 Things All Golden Retriever Owners Can Relate To

Golden retriever puppies are sweet, smart and quite exuberant. Their ability to always have a good time knows no bounds and that is the reason why we love them so much. They are great at anything you throw at them; say it is hunting, being a guide dog or one of the most devoted companions. Their goofy antics and need to shower you with their slobbery love is very infectious. No wonder, they fall right at #3 on the list of “Most Popular Dog in the World”.

When these tiny fur balls wobble on their paws and try to play fetch with you, quite frankly, nothing is more adorable than this. Their shiny yellow fur is what sets them apart from other breeds and makes us love them all the more.

Following are six tricks that all golden retriever owners can relate to:

    1. They Like To Train You for Their Joy

Golden retriever puppies catch on quite early. They are easily trainable because all they want to do is please their owner. However, they are very sneaky about this. The moment you stop paying attention to them, they will try to remind you with any means possible that you forgot to give them their daily dose of cuddling and petting. They might just teach you how to multitask.

    2. Every Second is Play Time

Goldens are lovers. For them, every second of the day is play time. No matter who it is – other breed puppies, babies or your new friend… all they want to do is have a good time and for that they need a partner.

    3. They Love Eating

There’s nothing that a Golden won’t munch on. You better keep your pantry clean because the moment they smell or see something delicious, they will want to eat. Funny thing is it doesn’t have to be a food item for them, because they will chew anything.

    4. For a Treat, They Will Do Anything!

We have already established that they love food and you have been using this to your advantage, right? The combination of easily trainable and love for food allows you to teach them new tricks. For a treat, they will do anything and we mean ANYTHING!

    5. Tumbleweeds of Fur Everywhere

Golden Retrievers shed a lot, which means your carpet, sofa, clothes and bed will most likely be covered in balls of golden fur. Sometimes, it gets annoying to get rid of the mess they unknowingly created but try hard as you might, you cannot get angry at that angel face.

    6. For them, 10 Minutes Apart is like Eternity

The moment you enter that door, they come bounding, wagging their tail and ready to lick your face clean. Who can get mad at this show of love… after all, we too missed them, didn’t we?

You agree with us don’t you? Having a Golden Retriever puppy has its rewards… just rewards. That smile, when you come back from work and they are waiting for you at the window, is a heartwarming sight, which melts our heart every time.
