ties Magazine takes
special pride in its relationship with two outstanding institutions, Drexel
University and The College of New Jersey. This groundbreaking collaboration
has fostered a unique publication which has been cited for its role in
sharing a new vision of technology education.
Drexel
University, founding publisher of ties, is recognized
nationally and internationally as a leading technology institution with
a strong focus on education for careers in design, business and industry,
and engineering. Drexel's commitment to science, computer literacy and
applied technology created an excellent environment for ties' developmental
phase, drawing on its state-of-the-art Design and Imaging Center and the
professional experience of its staff.
In 1993, The
College of New Jersey invited ties to join forces with
its widely acclaimed technology teacher training program and establish
editorial offices in the School of Engineering. This transition allowed
ties to take advantage of the resources of a new engineering program
and a new location with the expanded production facilities. Now recognized
as the pacesetting publication for the technology education profession,
ties has entered a new phase of development supported by these
two fine institutions and has moved its publication entirely online.
